Is your refrigerator cluttered with magnets?

Mine is...or rather was! Until I created a magnet wall...

Well, the problem with magnets is you run out real estate on the refrigerator so fast! So, when we recently got our house painted, I decided to experiment with a magnet display wall.

We stuck small strips of iron sheets with fevibond (any strong glue will do) at intervals. These strips are used by painters to apply putty or plaster of paris to the walls before painting. This is a quick and inexpensive solution.

An alternative solution is to get metal strips cut in long length and drilled into the walls (they don't stick so easily with fevibond). The advantage is that you can create zig zag lines or a grid to put up your magnets.

Of course, we added the wall stickers to make it a train magnet wall :) And, since there is so much more space than the fridge, we use it to display school artwork, cards, pictures besides the magnets :) The magnets act as anchors!

Next time I intend to create a bigger wall for sure :)

Any interesting ways you use to put up magnets? Send me an email with your ideas at [email protected] so we can share it with our readers.
